Message, Mission & Vision
Message from the Director
The Texas A&M Coastal Bend Health Education Center, established in 1999 by the 76th Texas State Legislature, has focused its efforts on improving the health of the community through education. Our educational programs benefit individuals from all areas, including students in middle and high schools, colleges and universities, and the health care professionals.
Our success would not be possible without the continued support of our community partners. Our collaboration with Del Mar College, Coastal Bend College, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Texas A&M Kingsville has made it possible to develop new health degrees, previously unavailable in this area. Many other community organizations such as the Nueces County-City of Corpus Christi Health Department and the Corpus Christi Family Practice Residency Program are working with us in educating our community, and in preparing the future health care professionals.
We invite you to visit our website and discover how our programs are improving the health of the community. The Coastal Bend Health Education Center continues to move towards its vision of providing health education to the community by promoting wellness and healthy lifestyles, increasing the number of students graduating with health degrees, and providing continuing education programs for health care professionals. We welcome you to contact us and provide feedback on how our center, can continue to develop new programs that address the area's educational and health needs.
