David, a 47 year-old school principal, found out he had diabetes when he had his blood sugar checked at a health fair and the reading was high. Like many, he had been living with diabetes and did not know it.

David says his life is very busy, so eating on a schedule has proven difficult for him. But every time he comes in for his 3 month follow-up, he learns new strategies for simplifying diabetes management. For instance, he now keeps an alarm on his phone to remind him when it’s time to have a snack or meal.

“The program works for me,” says David. “You can control your diabetes and still enjoy the best things in life.”
