Coastal Bend Health Education Center

The Texas A&M Coastal Bend Health Education Center, located in Corpus Christi, Texas, is committed to improving the quality of health care in the Coastal Bend by advancing the knowledge and skills of health care professionals, students and the community through partnerships in education, research and technology.

Help for patients who can’t afford their prescription medications. Assistance is available for those with no insurance, inadequate insurance or extremely high co-pays.

Physical activity programs that supplement the diabetes self-management education curriculum. A certified personal trainer provides assessments and tailors programs to individual needs.

Mobile Medical Units are available to provide clinical, educational and community outreach services. It is equipped with a generator, triage area, bathroom and full exam room. These units allow us to increase and expand service delivery in “hard-to-reach” populations such as rural areas.

As a proud partner of Texas A&M Healthy South Texas, our services have expanded beyond the Coastal Bend to improve health outcomes throughout a 27-county area. By engaging families, promoting healthy behavior change and enhancing education, everyone in South Texas can enjoy the benefits of better health now, and for generations to come.
